Installation instruction

General information:

The CBG EasyPan®-100 system is a simple and quick solution for the construction of partition walls and includes the following: specially pre-fabricated durable composite panels (manufactured with acoustic basalt-ceramic sheet facing and with built-in metal profiles), fastened to the floor and ceiling with metal profiles, the profiles are fastened to each other and form a metal framework.

After installing the partition wall and sealing the joints, no puttying or sanding is required. The partition wall is ready for painting or other finishing.

The CBG EasyPan®-100 panels are non-combustible (A1) according to EN 13501 and carry mechanical loads according to DIN 4103.

Installation instruction step by step

1. Mark the floor, walls and ceiling using leveling laser and marking cord.

2. Glue CBG soundproofing sealing strips to the outer wide side of the large L-shaped floor and ceiling profiles.

3. Fasten floor profiles to the floor with 6x40 screw with plug. Fasten ceiling profiles to the ceiling with 6x40 screw with plug.

4. Measure the distance between the bases of the profiles to adjust the panels by height. Cut the panels to the height in 10 mm less than the measured distance between the floor and ceiling profile bases.

5. Installation of the first panel. Tilt slightly the first panel and fix it in the designated place on the load-bearing wall, than place it against the ceiling and floor profiles

6. When setting up the first panel, check its vertical position. Once the panel has been installed at its intended correct place, fix it at two upper and two bottom corners at a distance of 20 mm from the panel joint with 6x25 screws with plugs through fastened floor and ceiling profiles at the point where they overlap the inner profile of the EasyPan panel.

7. Fill in with sealing foam a 10 mm gap between the panel and the ceiling profile and between the panel and the existing wall.

8. Before installing the next panel, apply a suitable adhesive sealant to the metal end profile of the already installed panel.

9. Glue each subsequent panel to the previous one along the long side and once it is in its final position, fix it at the corners at a distance of 20 mm from the panel joint with 6x25 screws with plugs through fixed floor and ceiling profiles at the point where they overlap the inner profile of the EasyPan panel. Fill in with sealing foam the 10 mm gap between the top edge of the panel and the ceiling profile.

10. Cut the last panel to the required width before it being installed into the partition wall, glue in the spacers of approximately 100x50 mm in size and 25 mm thick into the air gap between the boards of the panel in three places along the panel length. Fix the glued-in spacers with 6x40 screws with plugs. Install the last panel and fasten it at upper and lower corners to the ceiling and floor profiles with the 6x25 screws with plugs. Fill in with construction foam the junction between the partition and the existing wall

11. When the last panel is installed, fasten the small L-shaped profiles.

12. The partition wall can be painted, covered with wall-paper or tiled.

13. Fix baseboard and crown molding.

14. Angle element. The corner connection of the panels is done by using the self-tapping screws 75x8 mm. The screw must go through both metal U-profiles of the panels and connect them together.
